The new Vauxhall Corsa – set to be one of Britain's best-selling cars – has scored a maximum five stars for occupant safety, in the Euro NCAP crash tests. Ford's new S-Max also got full marks. But their pedestrian protection scores proved far less impressive, when the results of the latest tests were announced today (Friday 25).
-- Take a tour of the Koenigsegg factory, which is really a hangar once used by the Scania Air Force Wing, proving that jets really weren't born from old Opels. See the One:1 that recently made its debut at the Geneva motor show, as well as the Agera R that was used in Need for Speed. One guy spends 50 (that's five-oh hours) hours detailing a Koenigsegg for the Geneva show, which if you think about it isn't really that bizarre.
Yesterday Car Design News reported that Thomas Ingenlath has been appointed Vice President of Design for Volvo, stating that he will report to Peter Horbury, who is now Senior Vice President Design, Geely Group. This information is innacurate as Ingenlath will in fact report directly to Volvo Car Company President & CEO, Stefan Jacoby. We apologize for any confusion caused by our error.
